On Saturday, July 11, the Grote Markt will once again serve as the backdrop for Vlaanderen Feest!, a free musical event celebrating the Flemish Community's holiday. The city of Antwerp and VRT are joining forces again for an evening filled with live music, atmosphere, and popular Dutch-speaking artists.
Starting at 7:00 PM, everyone is welcome at the historic Grote Markt to sing along to the greatest Flemish hits from past and present.
An Impressive Line-Up
This year, many popular artists will take the stage. Among them, Niels Destadsbader, Camille, Aaron Blommaert, Zoë Livay, Bart Peeters, Gert Verhulst, James Cooke, #LikeMe, and Liliane Saint-Pierre will ensure a festive evening full of music and ambiance.
The artists will be accompanied by a live band led by Hans Francken, guaranteeing an impressive musical show in the heart of Antwerp.
Sing Along with Flemish Classics
During Vlaanderen Feest!, various iconic songs will be celebrated. For example, 'En dans' by Clouseau, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, will get new life thanks to Sandrine. Also, 'Min Moaten' by Flip Kowlier, another classic that has been around for 25 years, will certainly be featured.
Additionally, Camille, Aaron Blommaert, and Zoë Livay will perform their new summer hit live, showcasing the latest generation of Flemish music.
