Galerie De Zwarte Panter

  • Hoogstraat 70-74, 2000 Antwerpen
  • Art gallery

On December 5, 1968, art student Adriaan Raemdonck opened Galerie De Zwarte Panter. From 1970, the gallery took residence in the chapel space of the former Sint-Julianusgasthuis on Hoogstraat in Antwerp. Fifty-six years later, the gallery has grown into a monument in the old city center, the oldest still active gallery in the country, and a hotspot for visual artists, musicians, writers, tourists, and art lovers in general. In addition to exhibitions, there are also book presentations, film screenings, concerts, and lecture evenings held here.
