Have you ever wondered how an artist can capture the essence of a place with just a few brush strokes and a limited color palette? In this workshop, you can learn how to do this yourself.

During an afternoon, we will learn the technique to create an image based on your own observations using color and form. We are not aiming for a detailed, finished painting, but rather an intuitive, abstract image using color notes. In this way, we capture an impression of the original subject or image. 

This technique is very useful when you want to create one or more visual memories with limited resources or time, whether at home, in your studio, or even outdoors or while traveling.

In this workshop, we consciously use a limited basic palette of gouache colors, drawing inspiration from images. We work on a small scale, so you can finish your work in one afternoon and take it home with you. No prior experience is needed for this painting workshop – you will learn it here!
