Rubensmarkt & Mother's Day

On August 15, Antwerp celebrates not only Mother's Day, but also the annual Rubensmarkt – a vibrant and colorful day full of history, atmosphere, and delicacies. More than 200 market vendors in 17th-century Baroque attire take over the historic center and bring the city back to the time of Peter Paul Rubens.

From the Grote Markt to the Suikerrui, Ernest Van Dijckkaai, and part of the Plantinkaai, you will find stalls with artisanal products, flowers, antiques, drinks, treats, and unique trinkets. Each stall is decorated in historical style, and the market vendors provide a unique experience with their costumes and stories.
