On Friday, August 14, the dance floor at Kavka will once again become a colorful safe(r) space during Queer Klub. In collaboration with Wel Jong, Kavka is organizing a club night for and by the queer community, with a special focus on a new generation of queers under 30 years old.
From queer pop anthems and karaoke to arts & crafts: Queer Klub is all about dancing freely, being yourself, and experiencing an unforgettable evening together.
Queer Pop from 10 PM to 4 AM
The dance floor opens at 10 PM and will be filled with queer pop hits and recognizable sing-alongs until 4 AM. The lineup will be announced later, but one thing is certain: expect an energetic night full of pop, extravaganza, and flamboyant outfits.
The dress code? There isn't one. Come as you are, or pull out your most outrageous look. Nothing is too extra.
More than Just a Club Night
Had enough dancing? Starting at 11 PM, you can head to the karaoke room to sing your favorite songs. If you prefer to get creative, you can make your own keychain at the arts & crafts booth.
There’s also a space for visitors who want to escape the hustle and bustle. Wel Jong provides a low-stimulation area where you can relax before hitting the dance floor again.
A Safe(r) Space for Young Queers
With Queer Klub, Kavka and Wel Jong aim to create an inclusive nightlife environment where young queer people can feel free and comfortable.
The evening primarily targets visitors under 30 and combines nightlife with socializing, creativity, and community.
